Lions Finish 6th at Spartan Classic
La Salette went into one of its toughest meets looking for some personal best times from the starting seven and the Lions delivered. The Spartan Classic is a 3 Mile race held in the streets of St. Joe Ogden, Illinois. It is one of the more enjoyable races because it is a fast course and it is a bit shorter than the normal 5K (3.1 miles) meet normal for cross country.
The expectations have been high for this group of runners and they did not dissapoint. La Salette placed 6th out of 31 teams with captain Nicholas Halligan placing 16th with a time of 16:06. Here are the times of all the Lions runners:
Nicholas Halligan: 16:06 (16th)
Thomas Brauner: 16:57 (42nd)
Henry Kracht: 16:57 (43rd)
Daniel Crouse: 17:09 (50th)
Dominic Dvorak: 17:19 (55th)
Greg Mawhinney: 17:28 (62nd)
Pierre Beauregard: 17:36 (69th)
La Salette placed 18th last year in the Spartan Classic.
The Lions next meet is against Chrisman on Tuesday.
