Lions Blitz at North Vermillion Invite
After placing second last season at the North Vermillion Invitational, the Lions knew they needed to take back First Place with a vengeance. And that is exactly what they did.
Led by Captain Nicholas Halligan, the Lions started strong and ended even stronger. History was made with Nicholas Halligan becoming the first runner in La Salette history to place first in a meet with a time of 16:55. Here are the finishing places for the
La Salette seven starters:
Nicholas Halligan: 1st/16:55
Henry Kracht: 4th/17:30
Thomas Brauner: 5th/17:45
Dominic Dvorak: 6th/ 18:00
Daniel Crouse: 10th/18:40
James Peterson: 14th/19:07
Although winning first with a score of 26 and beating out the second place team Seeger by 26 points, the Lions know they have a long way to go to get their personal best times. One win down - but it is time to keep moving forward towards greater progress.
The next meet, The Spartan Classic, is Saturday, September 28th.
